Hill Confirmed For Neighborhood Watch

The cast of sci-fi comedy Neighborhood Watc****h is growing by the week. But this latest piece of news should mean that the comedy quotient gets boosted by one: Jonah Hill has signed on to the movie.

Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Rosemarie DeWitt are already all aboard, which finds Stiller moving from the big city to the ‘burbs expecting that things will take a turn for the quiet and dull. But when he joins with a group of other bored, married men to form a neighbourhood watch group (ostensibly so they can keep the local area safe, but really so they can just goof off), he gets far more than he bargained for when they discover an alien invasion plot.

While Deadline reports that Hill is now formally set for the film, Vulture was the first to break word of his possible involvement last week, back when there was a chance he was going to be too expensive for the 20th Century Fox comedy to hire. Now, though, it looks like all sides have worked out a deal.

Hill, who last appeared alongside Stiller in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, will next be seen in Moneyball with Brad Pitt and David Gordon Green’s new comedy The Sitter.

Neighborhood Watch, meanwhile, is being overseen by **Hot Rod **director Akiva Schaffer from a script by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
