Hilary Swank has tackled any number of genres in her Oscar-winning career. For her next film, she'll dive into noir fiction for Fatale.

Director Deon Taylor is working from David Loughery's script, which will see Swank's alluring police detective tricking her unsuspecting victim into a murder scheme.

"Getting tough, smart, beautiful, and perplexing all in one performance is daunting – until you get Hilary Swank, then you breathe easier and things get really exciting," says Taylor. "We’re really looking forward to making this movie and letting Hilary do what she does best – command the screen."

The cameras will start rolling next month in Los Angeles. Swank will next be seen in new drama What They Had and has also worked on sci-fi tale I Am Mother.
