If you thought that, given its planned November 2019 release and the fact that the cast has been busy recording the audio, the Frozen sequel would be well past the time for script tweaks, there's a cold blast of reality headed your way. Hidden Figures co-writer Allison Schroeder is now aboard to work on the script.
This doesn't represent some huge change in the writing duties on the movie, which had been the sole purview of co-director Jennifer Lee and the story team. But with Lee recently promoted to run Walt Disney Feature Animation, she's recruited some assistance as she juggles new responsibilities with her work on Frozen 2.
Not much is known about the story for the sequel to the animated behemoth, but the main cast (Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad) are all back, with new voices Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown added recently.
Chris Buck is also on the directing team, and the film will arrive in UK cinemas on 29 November next year. And this isn't Schroeder's first Disney gig; she also had a hand in Christopher Robin. Which mean we now sort of want a team-up between Olaf and Tigger...
