The Heroes Go Undercover In A New Sherlock Gnomes Trailer

Sherlock Gnomes

We saw the first trailer for Gnomeo And Juliet follow-up Sherlock Gnomes back last November. The second look at the movie has now landed on screens.

This time around, the story finds (James McAvoy) and Juliet (Emily Blunt) still happily coupled up. They and the rest of their garden ornament pals have moved to a brand new garden in the big city, which seems wonderful until our heroes return from a trip out to find that everyone else has been gnome-napped.

Worried about their friends, they contract the services of famed investigator Sherlock Gnomes (Johnny Depp, breaking out his accent again) and the hunt is on for the missing. Michael Caine, Maggie Smith and Stephen Merchant are among those returning, with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Mary J. Blige joining the vocal line-up as Watson and Irene respectively.

We can expect the usual blend of very silly gags and Elton John music, plus the idea that those lucky cat statues aren't always so friendly (that's cats for you, we suppose). Sherlock Gnomes will be out later this year, as the trailers frustratingly don't nail a release date.
