A couple of weeks ago we spoke to Angela Robinson, director of Herbie: Fully Loaded and D.E.B.S.. And while she was terribly pleasant, she utterly neglected to give us the inside track on her next film, an action comedy called Genbot. The plot, judging by the little we know, combines the best of her two previous films. The story concerns a young woman who finds herself caught up in a secret government organization (so that's a bit like D.E.B.S. then) who is turned into a cyborg (well, not a lot like a talking car, but you can see a tiny resemblance). Robinson will be co-writing the film with Alex Kondracke, based on their original idea, as well as directing and producing. While she has a "first-look" deal with Disney, this film is going ahead with New Line, as it is apparently "darker" than the usual Disney fare. We'll keep you up to date as we learn more.
