Though he's been working fairly steadily since his original TV heyday, Henry Winkler is enjoying a well-earned resurgence thanks to his work on shows such as hitman comedy Barry. He's extending that to high-profile big screen projects, and will be part of the cast for Wes Anderson's latest, The French Dispatch.
While Anderson has kept many of the details quiet, we do know it's set in the Paris bureau of an American newspaper and takes place some time in the 20th century. Three storylines will thread together and the cast includes returning Anderson actors Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Adrien Brody and Bob Balaban, plus new company arrivals Benicio Del Toro and Timothée Chalamet.
The cameras are rolling now in France and the film should hopefully be out later this year. Winkler recently finished work on Season 2 of Barry (for which he's been winning plenty of awards and scoring other nominations), and that will be back on our screens before too long.
