We might be waiting patiently to find out when the various parties behind Mad Men will sort out their contracts and get back to producing some of the best telly going right now, but at least the cast seem to be putting the break to good use. Christina Hendricks, AKA office manager and resident bombshell Joan Harris, has signed on for Neil LaBute’s latest film, Seconds of Pleasure.
LaBute’s behind the script, at least, though according to Deadline’s story about the casting, Mike Figgis will actually be the one calling the shots.
The plot follows several couples on a plane in several vignettes, with Hendricks joining a cast that includes Brendan Fraser (as her husband), Matt Dillon, Julia Stiles and Kristen Scott Thomas. Hendricks' character will apparently catch her hubby in a compromising position, which we figure means that Furry Vengeance is the in-flight movie.
Figgis is set to start shooting in the summer here in the UK. Hendricks, meanwhile, is currently busy working on Doug McGrath’s I Don’t Know How She Does It, based on Allison Pearson’s book and with a cast that boasts Pierce Brosnan, Sarah Jessica Parker, Seth Meyers, Kelsey Grammar and Greg Kinnear.
