If you're going to remake Hellraiser, which, let's be honest, is re-heeeally dated now, you might as well do it properly. And it sounds like they are. Bloody Disgusting is reporting that the directors of the forthcoming Inside, Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, have been signed to bring the evil ways of Pinhead to the screen again.
You might not know of Inside, but you'll be hearing a lot about it soon. It caused much hoo-hah in Cannes this year with its story of a pregnant woman who's recently lost her husband and is stalked by a mysterious woman (Beatrice Dalle). But not any mysterious woman, a woman who wants to remove her unborn child. Our Features Editor, Dan Jolin, called it one of the most disturbing things he'd ever seen, but it was well received by those who like ultra-violent movies that show violence from the point of view of a foetus. N.B. You should never sit next to those kind of people on a bus late at night.
So, what the hell(raiser) might these guys do with Hellraiser?
