The times they are a-changing for Netflix’s hit period drama The Crown — after two seasons with Claire Foy and Matt Smith at the helm as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the show is moving forward a few years with a brand new cast. Last week gave us our first look at Olivia Colman as Her Maj, and now we’ve got a glimpse of Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, taking over from Vanessa Kirby.
There’s also a snap of Ben Daniels, taking over the role of Margaret’s husband Antony Armstrong-Jones (aka Lord Snowden) from Season 2’s Matthew Goode.
The third season of the royal drama will be set in the late ‘60s and ‘70s, with the new cast also sticking around for Season 4. Other fresh additions include Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, and Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson. No release date has been confirmed for Season 3, though it seems likely that the next run of episodes will arrive in 2019.
