We may no longer have Agent Carter on our TV screens (though we'll always have it in our hearts), but Hayley Atwell is sticking with Disney, moving back from the Marvel family to the company's main film department (after her brief appearance in Cinderella), and joining Ewan McGregor in Christopher Robin.
The movie sounds a little like Hook crossed with Paddington, following what happens when a grown Christopher Robin leaves behind the imaginative adventures with Winnie the Pooh and focuses on his adult life. But when his job starts to overwhelm his family commitments, he is suddenly visited by Pooh, who needs help finding his friends. Our hero has to figure out how to handle the two sides of his life colliding without losing both. Atwell is aboard to play his wife.
Marc Forster is directing the film, which currently boasts a script by Hidden Figures' Allison Schroeder.
Atwell has most recently worked on short-lived legal drama Conviction and is starring in the new miniseries version of Howards End, which will be on screens via the Beeb in the UK and Starz in the States, though an air date has yet to be announced.
