With Harry Potter And The Cursed Child currently playing to packed houses in the heart of London’s West End, the multi-million pound, best-selling, box office-smashing, award-winning franchise is now primed to take over another British cultural hotspot: the Royal Albert Hall.

Bewitching the capital for just three performances (May 12 and 13), John Williams’ instantly iconic, Oscar-nominated score will be performed live by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as The Philosopher’s Stone plays out in its entirety on a 40-foot HD screen. Similar concerts are set to follow across the rest of the world (with the other films expected to follow), but the three London dates mark the film-and-live-orchestra series' world premiere – the first time a live symphony orchestra has ever accompanied the film. And only right, considering Potter is of our fair home soil.

“This incredible film concert will bring the world of Harry Potter to life like never before,” explains the Royal Albert Hall’s Director of Events, Lucy Noble. It's guaranteed to be movie magic.

You can buy tickets from 9am this Friday, August 19, on the Royal Albert Hall’s website.
