Harold Perrineau, who until recently has been spending his days trapped on the Lost island, has escaped to find some film work.
He’s agreed to work on three films in the next few months, which means he’s unlikely to appear often on the TV show.
He’ll play Richard Roundtree in the reality-twisting indie drama Your Name Here, which used to go by the name Panasonic, and is one of the recently announced, competing Philip K Dick projects.
Matthew Wilder’s film has Roundtree acting in fictional ‘70s’ thriller Earthquake and becoming struck by the urge to meet the sci-fi writer.
He’ll stick with sci-fi for 28 Days Later sequel 28 Weeks Later, taking on the role of an American Special Forces officer who corrals and assists the families returning to London after the original outbreak is stopped.
Finally, Perrineau is joining John Malkovich and Jeremy Sisto in Gardens Of The Night, which is now being written and directed by Damien Harris. The downbeat drama follows two children who escape from a prostitution ring to live on the streets.
