Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms are back, and ain't nothin' changed except the year it is. That, it seems, is the message of this teaser trailer for **The Hangover Part II, which has just gone online over at Apple.
Nothin' changed, that is, except the presence of a monkey instead of the baby, Alan's shaved head, Stu's facial tattoo, and the location, which has shifted to Thailand for the occasion of Stu's wedding. The blurb tells us that "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can only be imagined," which chimes rather nicely with director Todd Philips' own promises of some "fucked up surprises".
The trailer's slow-motion three-abreast walking to the backing of Jay-Z doesn't reveal much (what happens in Hangover 2 stays in Hangover 2), but we're liking the apparent seriousness of the enterprise, from the Godfatherly "Part II" to the fact that there aren't really any actual jokes in the clip: the joke being the clip itself. The Wolfpack is back! Give us Blue Steel!
What we do know is that Ken Jeong is returning for some more ridiculous gangster action and that Paul Giamatti is also on hand, along with Justin Bartha and Jeffrey Tambor. Philips co-wrote the script with Scot Armstrong, and the UK release date is May 27.
