Posthumous film tribute for George Harrison

Perhaps better known for not being the worst soul who's ever played the good old guitar, George Harrison will be honoured at a ceremony this month for his sterling cinematic achievements. In addition to playing a bit of music on the side, the late Beatle formed his own film company, Handmade Films, which helped to produce some of the most memorable of British films in the last fifty years. Without Harrison we may never have heard Graham Chapman's immortal lines, "He's not the Messiah. He's a very naughty boy!" in Monty Python's Life of Brian, nor enjoyed those treasure-hunting dwarves in Time Bandits. And layabout students' lives everywhere would have been irredeemably impaired without the drinking games revolving around the alcoholic exploits of Withnail and I. George, we salute you.
