If there's an unstoppable robot killing machine from the future after you, there's only one woman you want by your side, and that's Linda Hamilton. If you're McG, your leading man's got anger management problems and your last film was We Are Marshall, it wouldn't hurt either. So we're delighted to report that Linda Hamilton is deep in negotiations to return in Terminator Salvation.
The original (and still best - sorry, Lena Headey) Sarah Connor is in talks to lend a voiceover to the film. "I would probably be very happy to loan my voice depending on what the material is. Wait and see. They’re already writing it. We’ve been negotiating it.”
Hamilton bowed out of the third film because she felt her part was "negligible", since Connor was set to die halfway through "and there was no time to mourn her. My character arc was so complete in the first two." However, she appears open to at least a voice role this time around, causing Terminator geeks around the world to declare this a day of rejoicing, and to raise our optimism levels for Terminator Salvation by a full point.
