Sound the remake klaxon! We've got another in development and can already hear the complaints on the internet. In this case, Sony is developing a new take on 1985 thriller Jagged Edge, with Halle Berry in line to star if it all comes together.

The original was written by Joe Eszterhas script, brought to life by Richard Marquand. Edge's story finds a San Francisco heiress brutally murdered in her remote, beautiful beach hour. Her publisher husband Jack (played in the original by Jeff Bridges) is collared for the crime, and hires lawyer Teddy Burns (Glenn Close) to defend him. The professional spills over into the personal as they launch a passionate affair, even as Teddy is worried that something isn't quite right with the man she's falling for.

Robert Loggia scored an Oscar nomination for the film, which means there will be more pressure on any new version.
