Long enamoured by our filth-ridden capital, Gwyneth Paltrow's love for London may finally be flagging. The actress, who lives in swanky Belgravia with Coldplay singer and husband, Chris Martin, has oft sung the praises of Britain's biggest city but the irritations of everyday life in town has started to get her goat. Anyone who lives here can talk your ears off on the injustices of London parking restrictions and the satanic nature of traffic wardens but, talking to Time Out magazine, Paltrow exclaimed that she'd just about had it with the officious little jobsworths. "You can't park illegally even for two seconds," she moaned. "I think the fines are inordinately high. And the price of petrol is exorbitant." But it's not just automotive woes that cast a pall over Paltrow's days, she's not overly fond of our weather either. "There's something that happens when it's very cold and grey. Sometimes it gets to be wearing, especially if - like me - you lived in California till you were 10." 'What?' You say, 'how dare she diss our nation's capital? Bloody Americans!' Speak not in haste though, your patriotic pride need not be damaged as Gwyneth still loves it here despite the many annoyances. "London is the most fascinating city in the world," she said.
