She's made a name for herself in the likes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and a little show called Game Of Thrones and Gwendoline Christie is continuing to be in demand. She's joining Robert Zemeckis' latest, which doesn't yet have a title.

The new film will adapt Jeff Malmberg's 2010 documentary Marwencol, which charts the recovery of Mark Hogancamp (Steve Carell), who suffered severe brain trauma when he was beaten by five teenagers and ended up in a coma for nine days.

When he emerged, he had no memory of his life, his friends and his family. As a form of therapy, he began building a 1/6 scale model of a World War II-era Belgian village named Marwencol in his backyard, replete with figures made in the image of him, his friends, and, shockingly to some, his attackers. While the process mended his mind to a certain extent, it also let him escape into a fantasy world in which he created various scenarios with the dolls. Christie is set as his Russian caretaker, Anna.

Leslie Mann, Janelle Monae, Diane Kruger and Eiza Gonzalez are all in the cast, which Zemeckis wrote with Caroline Thompson and is preparing to make.

Christie will be back as Brienne in Season 7 of Game Of Thrones, which finally arrives on 16 July. And then there's Star Wars: The Last Jedi landing on 15 December.
