Gus Van Sant Is Restless

Gus Van Sant is planning a new film, called Restless, but (presumably because it's a Monday morning and he doesn't want to overload brains still recovering from the weekend) is keeping the entire plot under wraps. All we know is that it's said to be a "contemporary and distinctive take on young love", and that it's said to include "originality" and "raw emotion". Huh. There goes our theory that it's a Grease 2 remake then.

The film was written by newcomer Jason Lew, who got his break by going to university with Bryce Howard and acting in plays with her. When he wrote a play she particularly liked, she encouraged him to turn it into a screenplay and, several drafts later, showed it to her dad Ron Howard. His Imagine Entertainment picked it up, showed it to Gus Van Sant, and here we are.

The film's due to shoot in Oregon for around $15 million, although there's no word on casting or a start date yet. Suggestions for possible plots below please.
