In May, word arrived that Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo would be taking the lead roles in a new fantasy-themed adventure drama called Come Away. The cast is growing to include Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Caine and David Gyasi.

Brenda Chapman, who was the original director of Pixar's Brave (and won an Oscar for her efforts), is making her live-action debut with the movie. Marissa Kate Goodhill's script is designed as a prequel to both Alice In Wonderland and Peter Pan, which re-imagines them in the years before their own stories as brother and sister. When their older brother dies in a tragic accident, they aim to save their parents (Jolie and Oyelowo) from their downward spirals into despair.

As for what Mbatha-Raw, Caine and Gyasi will be playing in the film, Variety was not able to dig up the details. The film will be shooting this autumn in the UK and Los Angeles.

Mbatha-Raw has worked on fantasy-skewing TV drama Fabled and is part of the cast for Motherless Brooklyn. Caine has King Of Thieves due out on 14 September, while Gyasi will act alongside Jolie before this new film, as he's also in Maleficent 2, which has a 29 May, 2020 release date pencilled in.
