Another week, and another remake heads the US box office, with a sequel close behind. Guess Who is the loose remake of 1967's Guess Who's Coming To Dinner starring Ashton Kutcher and Bernie Mac, and took the lead at the box office with $20.7 million. Sandra Bullock's Miss Congeniality 2 languished in second place with $14 million ($17.1 million including previews). It's Kutcher's best opening in a lead role yet, and Bernie Mac's biggest hit to date. The film oh-so-cleverly turns the race issues of the first film on their head by casting Kutcher in the Sidney Poitier role as the prospective suitor of a young black girl (Zoe Saldana) and Bernie Mac stepping into Spencer Tracy's shoes as her protective father. Let's reflect on that for a moment
