Griffin Dunne has been a little quiet on the directing front recently, having directed only a small – if star cameo-laden - comedy since Practical Magic. He’s mostly been bringing in the paycheques through acting and producing.

But now production company NALA films has tempted him back behind the megaphone for Only Ever You, a romantic comedy.

The plot’s a little basic – a young widower has to find himself and his life again after his wife pops her clogs.

Mike Petzhold wrote the script, and Dunne will call action in January. But first he’ll have to find a cast - unless he’s planning to use sock puppets, which would be novel, and fine by us.
