You’re about to see her stealing Bond’s heart in Casino Royale, but Eva Green is already off nabbing other film jobs.

She’s working on The Golden Compass now, but has also been attached to star in The Country Of Last Things.

Adapted from Paul Auster’s novel by writer-director Alejandro Chomski, it’s the bleak, post-apocalyptic tale of the world in ruin. Theft is so commonplace it has been decriminalised, while millions are starving and buildings are collapsing. Weird suicide cults are springing up everywhere and licensed scavengers hunt for useable rubbish and precious human waste.

Green will feature as Anne Blum, a woman who arrives in the unnamed city looking for her brother, but unexpectedly finding love among the ruins. It’ll be shot in Skegness. Kidding… It films in Argentina starting in January.
