Few studios have been as affected by the Avatar shockwave as Warner Bros. – the company now seems intent on converting every single upcoming film to 3D, with Sucker Punch, Green Lantern and even Cats And Dogs 2 all being announced as candidates for a new dimension.
Sucker Punch and the feline/canine battle sequel, of course, have already been shot, so they will be sent away for dimensionlisation post-production. There’s no word on whether Lantern will shift to shooting in 3D, as Martin Campbell is only now about to crank the cameras.
Given that** Clash Of The Titans** and the final two Harry Potter films have already been slotted to undergo the process, it’s only a matter of time before everything Warners produces (well, the blockbusters at least) will be 3D.
But will they start dragging classics out of the vault and subjecting them to 3D paint jobs? Casablanca 3D, anyone?
