Grant Laughs Off Shag Rumours

Poor old Hugh Grant. On top of having to put up with the ravaging hounds of the tabloid press chasing him for news of ex-squeeze Liz Hurley, he's now having to fend off rumours of a romance with his current co-star Sandra Bullock. Asked last night at the About A Boy premiere how he'd found working with Bullock, Grant enthused; 'I feel like I've met the person I should have been doing films with for years - it's excellent.' But what about the scurrilous gossip that's being bandied around? 'Well I've never worked with an actress where there haven't been rumours that we've been shagging,' he laughed. So what's the story with the Richard Curtis film he's been linked to? 'I haven't even signed up for it yet officially,' he told us. 'It's in the autumn and he's directing it and it's eight or ten interweaving stories with no real leads.' But he'd take it if schedule allowed? 'The next one would be the Richard Curtis film if I do one, but you know I hardly ever work. I like to do one film a year max.'
