The cast for Michael Apted’s anti-slavery drama Amazing Grace is swelling by the day.
Already signed on to star are Ioan Gruffudd and Albert Finney, who are playing British anti-slavery pioneer William Wilberforce and best friend John Newton respectively.
Now they’re going to be joined by the likes of Ciaran Hinds, Rufus Sewell, Romola Garai and Michael Gambon.
Dirty Pretty Things scribe Steven Knight has written the script, which follows Wilberforce’s controversial 18th century political campaign.
