Playing the role of the Tooth Fairy in the upcoming Hannibal Lecter film Red Dragon required extreme patience from actor Ralph Fiennes who had to spend up to six hours a day in the make-up chair to create this fantastic-looking tattoo. The British actor won the role against heavy competition from some US heavyweight talent, such as Nicolas Cage and Sean Penn. But according to the film's director Brett Ratner, it was Fiennes' apparent low-celeb rating that won him the role. 'I wasn't going to hire a known,' the director told US magazine Entertainment Weekly. 'I [thought] it'd be scarier if you've never seen this guy's face.' Obviously the fact that Fiennes has twice been nominated for an Oscar hasn't done that much to raise his profile.
