Ladies, if there’s any lesson to be learned from the two trailers featuring the man that arrived this week (first **Blue Valentine and now this), it’s that while he may be handsome, it’s probably safer not to marry Ryan Gosling. Kristen Dunst obviously didn’t have that warning, and it would appear things don’t go so well for her in All Good Things**, which has pushed its first trailer out to Apple.
But then, the movie is based on a true-life tale of mismatched marriage and possible murder, with Gosling as David Marks, a real estate scion who decides that Dunst’s Katie McCarthy is the girl for him. Even if that means pissing off his controlling dad, played by Frank Langella.
Capturing the Friedmans director Andrew Jarecki is behind the camera for this one, which uses newly discovered facts about the case of Robert and Kathie Durst, which saw them married under similar circumstances, only for the relationship to go wrong in the 1980s and for her to vanish, leading to suspicions that Robert killed his wife.
All Good Things hasn’t exactly had an easy time of it – originally scheduled for last year, it’s been sat dormant for months and is now creeping out (no release date is set for it in the UK yet, and we’re not even sure it has distribution here). Looks like it might live and die (no pun intended) on its US box office. Check out the trailer and see what you think...
