Given how many studios are putting out Comic-Con teaser posters, we’re beginning to feel a little bit like Captain Kirk buried in tribbles, with more of the adorable, squeaky little bundles of fur rolling down from the grain store at regular intervals. Here’s the latest, a new Mondo-designed promo for Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros.’ Godzilla.
If you saw director Gareth Edwards’ statement from the set (if not, it’s at the top of the page), you know the new take on the classic monster is bringing something big to Comic-Con this year.
Pictures have already sprung up online of a building in San Diego with some hefty ‘zilla-damage and we’re hoping for some footage from the movie, which has been shooting for a while now. The poster itself is a nifty one, stylised and very much invoking the character's Kaiju history, with a nice nod to Manga.
Aside from the giant central figure, Godzilla also features Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, David Strathairn, Sally Hawkins and Juliette Binoche.
