Actually, gentlemen, you may not have a clue what we're talking about, but trust me, for any woman who read in her early teens, it's momentous. Screenwriter Pamela Gray has been hiredby Disney to adapt Deenie, one of the classic novels from that queen of teen literature, Judy Blume. Blume has been writing children and teenage books for years, on subjects from divorce to obesity to degenerative illness to annoying kid brothers. Her bestsellers include 'Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret.'; 'Otherwise Known As Sheila The Great' and 'Blubber'. One of her books, 'Forever', earned notoriety on publication in schools throughout the country because its story of a passionate teen relationship included (genuinely non-gratuitous) sex scenes.
