Glenn Close is getting ready to transfer one of her most famous stage roles to film, agreeing to star in** Albert Nobbs** for Rodrigo Garcia.
Orlando Bloom, Michael Gambon and Janet McTeer have also all joined the cast of the film, which is set among the servants’ quarters in a luxury hotel in 19th century Dublin and charts the story of a woman who disguises herself as a man in order to survive.

The theatrical version won her an Obie award in the 1980s and she’s producing the movie, which starts shooting in July.
