Split’s multiple-personalitied antagonist wasn’t the only thing in that film with more going on under the surface — in true M. Night Shyamalan style, a twist ending (SPOILER WARNING) confirmed that the film was actually a semi-sequel set in the same world as 2000’s Unbreakable. Now the director is continuing the saga with a third instalment, named Glass after Samuel L. Jackson’s brittle-boned self-styled villain.

The film isn’t due until January next year, but Shyamalan has shared the first Glass poster on Twitter. The design features all three supernatural characters established so far: Mr. Glass himself, James McAvoy as The Horde, and Bruce Willis as David Dunn. We think he’ll have to get a snappier nickname for this one.

Like Split, Glass is a Blumhouse production and will also see Anya Taylor-Joy return as her Split character Casey Cooke. This time Sarah Paulson is joining the cast as psychiatrist Dr. Ellie Staple, who works with patients convinced they have superhuman abilities. The film is out on 18 January, and with post-production now underway here's hoping that a trailer might not be far off.
