The ensemble for Tate Taylor’s new thriller keeps getting bigger and more interesting. With Allison Janney cast just a few days ago, Lisa Kudrow is the latest addition to **The Girl On The Train{ =nofollow}.

Erin Cressida Wilson wrote the screenplay from the much buzzed-about book, which drew comparisons to Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl for its narrative. We’ll caution that even the basic synopsis might be considered a spoiler, but read on if you wish… The story follows a recently divorced woman called Rachel (Emily Blunt) struggling with her life and sinking into alcoholism to try to cope. She spies a seemingly perfect couple from her London train ride every day and starts to fantasise about their lives. But things take a turn when she sees something shocking…

In keeping with the no-spoilers policy, we will only mention that Kudrow will be playing a character called Monica. Future Friends-related trivia question alert! She’s joining a cast that already includes Blunt, Janney, Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Jared Leto, Edgar Ramirez and Justin Theroux.

Kudrow has worked on comedy drama Table 19 and most recently reported to the Bad Neighbours 2 set to reprise her role as Dean Carol Gladstone. The follow-up to the Seth Rogen/Zac Efron prank-fest will be out here on May 6.
