It it feels like it has been nine years since we saw the last original Gilmore Girls episode (obligatory fan switch to 10 years because we don't count the seventh season officially for reasons), that's because it was. But fear not! Lorelei (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) are officially back. Well, in a couple of months via Netflix. Check out the new teaser below.
A Year In The Life (for that is the subtitle for this fresh set of stories) will be presented as four 90-minute TV movies covering four different seasons in a year at Stars Hollow. Exact plot details have yet to be released, but we do know that the majority of the cast (which includes Melissa McCarthy, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop and Jared Padalecki) are back for varying commitments and it's certain to deliver on the typically patter-full chatter, not least between the leading mother-daughter duo.
Gilmore Girls rarely dipped into high stakes drama (aside from emotionally), but it's always a comfy, well-acted watch and the new Netflix "chapters" represent the return of creators and show-runners Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, who write and direct here. So you know it should jump in quality levels from That Season We Don't Like To Talk About. All of the chapters will hit Netflix on November 25.
