The Hot Tub Time Machine sequel just received a boost of Community casting power, as Gillian Jacobs plans to Brita the whole thing by snatching the female lead in the comedy follow-up. And she’s not the only one: Chevy Chase is bringing his repairman character from the original film back.

Yes, they really are making a sequel to the 2010 comedy that saw John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke sent swirling back to the 1980s thanks to the titular device.

Despite its relatively mediocre box office, the original made money on DVD, so MGM decided that a return trip was in order. Cusack won’t be taking part this time around, but Adam Scott is considering stepping into the hot tub in his place.

Jacobs, who was last on the big screen via a small role in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, will likely be romancing Scott in the film, whose plot is still being kept secret. Chase, on the other hand, played the hot tub repairman who seemed to know a lot more than he let on in the original, and may end up with more to do this time around (even if he tends to work better in smaller doses these days).

Director Steve Pink is set to call the shots once more with Corddry, Duke and Robinson all preparing to pull on their swimming trunks. Chase will next show up in Lovesick and Before I Sleep. Jacobs has shot gut demon comedy Milo and equally dark laugh-fest Teddy Bears.
