If you say "Gerard Butler" and "heist thriller" in the same sentence, most people probably think of Den Of Thieves, which saw him as a driven lawman tracking down crafty criminals (and has a sequel in the works). But for a new example of the genre, Just Watch Me, Butler is switching sides to play a thief.

Derek Kolstad, the writer behind the original John Wick and the more recent Nobody, is cranking out this one, working from Jeff Lindsay's novel.

Lindsay, the creator of the book series that birthed Dexter (in case you didn't know) has another set of novels out that focus on Riley Wolfe, a master thief and expert in disguise who targets the wealthiest one percent.

In this story, the likeable bad guy teams up with a master forger named Monique and a team of expert thieves on a job that will make history. There's no director attached yet, but the team behind recent But release Copshop is also producing this and hopes to have it filming later this year.
