When Gerard Butler, Frank Grillo and Joe Carnahan team up for a movie, you just know it'll be the heartwarming tale of sweet woodland creatures who figure out that friendship is truly the most important thing when they bond after a forest fir... Nah, of course they're working on an action thriller, which in this case is called Copshop.

Birthed in a script by Kurt McLeod, which has since seen re-writes by Carnahan, it'll follow what happens when a small-town police station becomes the unlikely battleground between a professional hitman (Butler), a smart rookie female cop, and a double-crossing con man (Grillo) who seeks refuge behind bars with no place left to run. And the only woodland creatures are likely to have to take their chances when the bullets start flying.

Carnahan is looking to kick off shooting in October in Georgia and New Mexico, with STX Films putting the movie's rights up for sale at this year's virtual Toronto Film Festival market.
