George Miller Says He's Planning More Mad Max

It may have opened behind Pitch Perfect 2 at the American box office, but Mad Max: Fury Road is off to a roaring start globally. And while the final accounting will no doubt be taken into consideration – it was not a cheap film to make by any stretch of the imagination or purse strings – director George Miller says that there will be more Max to come.

There had been hints before that Miller was hoping to make more movies – Max himself, Tom Hardy said in April that he’s contracted beyond** Fury Road** and, talking on The Q&A With Jeff Goldsmith, Miller confirmed that he has ideas for two sequels – one, called **Mad Max: The Wasteland **already has a screenplay and the other is in novella form, thanks largely to downtime provided by the long delays in making the first film.

So while Miller will first be taking a well-earned break after the incredible slog that was travelling the Fury Road, we can hopefully look forward to more of his madcap vision in the future, especially given the buzz about this iteration.
