We already know that Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse are playing two of the main characters in the as-yet-untitled Game Of Thrones prequel being cooked up by Jane Goldman. The cast is growing by an order of magnitude as Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp, and Toby Regbo are all now aboard.

Based on an idea by Thrones novelist/overlord George RR Martin, the show has been turned into a working concept by Goldman. Set thousands of years before the stories now unfolding, it chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend... It’s not the story we think we know.

And this being Game Of Thrones, the details of all the new roles are being kept behind a giant, frozen wall. Which means we're off to find a dragon that can penetrate it. We do know, however, that Jessica Jones and The Defenders director SJ Clarkson (who is still attached to make the next Star Trek movie if and when it hits warp speed) will be calling the shots for the show's pilot and crafting the look of the series.
