Andy Serkis' first directing job, Jungle Book: Origins has been pushed back to 2018, so his second may end up entering cinemas first. That would be Breathe, which now has Game Of Thrones veteran Dean-Charles Chapman aboard.

Deadline's story doesn't offer any enlightenment as to what Chapman will be doing in the film, but at least we do know what it's about. The true-life tale will see Andrew Garfield as 28-year-old Robin Cavendish sufferer who survived the illness and life on a respirator, refusing to give in even when he was told he only had three months to live.

With an assist from his wife Diana Blacker (Claire Foy), he went on to raise money for charity, test out new medical equipment and champion the cause of the disabled. Gladiator's William Nicholson wrote the script and Serkis will produce the film with his Imaginarium Studios partner Jonathan Cavendish.

Chapman, who (spoiler alert if you're not all caught up) has a little more time in his schedule now, was most recently seen on the big screen in Man Up.
