WandaVision might be the strangest show on the current Marvel/Disney+ roster, and thanks to Coronavirus-forced production delays elsewhere, it also has to launch the new face of Marvel on TV. Which means we're scouring anything that comes our way for clues, so a new full trailer is welcome.
The basic setup for the show finds Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff (AKA Scarlet Witch) and Paul Bettany's Vision seemingly a happily married couple in an odd 1950s sitcom world. You have to wonder how they ended up there, especially given Vision's death in Avengers: Infinity War. Is it a parallel universe? Something to do with their incredible powers? We'll have to wait to find out.
What we do know is that Kat Dennings is back as Thor's Darcy Lewis, Randall Park is playing Ant-Man And The Wasp's Jimmy Woo and Teyonah Paris will be Monica Rambeau, now a grown woman after we met her in Captain Marvel. In terms of MCU tie-ins, there will be something to do with S.W.O.R.D. (the Sentient World Observation and Response Department we saw being set up at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home) and the plot will factor into Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness (though that might be toned down given the wait for the movie).
Jac Schaeffer ran the show on the writing side, while Matt Shakman was among the directors. WandaVision doesn't have an exact date, but it'll appear on Disney+ before the end of the year.
