With its March release date on Netflix fast approaching, Pee-wee's Big Holiday, the return of that perky-voiced hero brought to life by Paul Reubens needed to get cracking on a new trailer. So here's the latest look at the man, his bowtie and his travel plans. Check it out here{
We're re-introduced to Pee-wee as a guy happy to stay in his home town of Fairville, a perpetually happy small-town chunk of Americana. He doesn't like to try new things and he doesn't want to leave. But then he meets a mysterious stranger, played by Magic Mike's Joe Manganiello arrives, and convinces Pee-wee that maybe there is more to life than working in a diner and living his cheery, but seemingly limited suburban existence.
Of course, getting out into the world means meeting lots of new people and having strange encounters, and from the looks of this it doesn't always go Pee-wee's way. Still, you can count on him usually remaining chipper in the face of maddening odds.
With Judd Apatow producing, a script by Reubens and Paul Rust, and Inside Amy Schumer veteran director John Lee marshaling the mayhem, Pee-wee's Big Holiday will land on Netflix on March 18.
