We've already seen one teaser trailer for Neill Blomkamp's next film, Demonic. The full trailer has now arrived, bringing plenty of weird visions.
Shot during the middle of pandemic (under full safety precautions and at a remote Canadian location), Demonic stars Carly Pope as a young woman who reconnects with her mother (Nathalie Boltt), who is under serious sedation after a homicidal episode. The only way to reach her is to enter the simulation she's living in, so that's where our heroine heads. Unfortunately for her, there is something truly terrifying lurking within, and that something aims to enter the real world...
Blomkamp has largely kept this one under wraps, though the trailer also features a team of Vatican-funded black-ops priests who are charged with stopping the evil before it is fully unleashed. Yeah, that old story. Read more on the film via Empire's exclusive chat with the director.
Demonic is headed to Stateside cinemas and VOD outlets on 20 August, with Signature Entertainment bringing the film to the UK on 27 August.
