UPDATE: And here it is! The teasing is over!
...
We’ll give Looper director Rian Johnson and star Joseph Gordon-Levitt some real credit for how they’ve been handling the drip-feed scene segments that have been arriving online as we prepare to see the full teaser trailer. Instead of just doling out fragments of footage a la Twilight, the pair has been introducing each snippet and talking up the movie. You can watch the latest instalment over at Apple.
In this most recent chat, Gordon-Levitt and Johnson explain how they made the actor look like Bruce Willis. As it turns out, they weren’t shooting for an exact match for young John McClane. “We knew we were never going to make Joe look like a really young Bruce Willis, and so what we did was picked a few key features and altered those."
For Gordon-Levitt, it meant time spent sitting around getting prosthetics applied… “That required three hours in the makeup chair, every morning! The transformation kind of freaked Bruce out.”
Unless you’re avoiding all of these chunks and even the trailer itself to stay pure for the film itself (due on September 28), check it out for more from the duo. But for everyone else, the trailer is mere hours away. Control yourselves!
