While the most recent teaser for Netflix's new take on Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events featured a lot of Neil Patrick Harris' scheming aristo-baddie Count Olaf, the new trailer shares the love with some of the other characters. Except they're mostly all Olaf's "cunning" disguises, so you get plenty of him anyway.
Daniel Handler's books follow the Baudelaire orphans Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes) and Sunny, who are left in Olaf's less-than-kindly guardianship after their parents die in an accident. The couple, see, left behind a huge fortune, and Olaf would love to get his spindly fingers on it. Cue diabolical plans, stupid outfits and an egg timer with an unforeseen flaw...
Patrick Warburton steps in to play our narrator, Lemony, and the likes of Joan Cusack, K. Todd Freeman and Aasif Mandvi show up for this one. A Series Of Unfortunate Events kicks off its first batch of eight episodes on Netflix on 13 January. Friday the 13th... How fitting.
