Slumdog Millionaire’s Freida Pinto has signed on to star in **War Of The Gods **for Tarsem Singh and Relativity Media.
With Percy Jackson and** Clash Of The Titans** hitting cinemas, 2010 truly is the year of the Greek deities. Gods – which started development around the same time as Titans – is being bankrolled by Universal, who must be hoping that the interest in all things mythological will survive this year’s onslaught.
Henry Cavill is already on board as Theseus, who must lead his men into battle against the ancient, immortal Greek gods to destroy evil and defeat the Titans so mankind can be saved. Pinto will play Phaedra, an oracle priestess who joins our hero on his quest.
Tarsem starts shooting in April. Expect him to be asked about 3D by a nervous studio exec approximately one minute after stepping on to set.
