The reviews might not necessarily have suggested that one would be forthcoming, but The Hitman's Bodyguard was successful enough to spawn a follow-up, so Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson will be back. And Frank Grillo will join them in The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard.
Salma Hayek is also returning as the titular wife, as she, Jackson's assassin and Reynolds' protection specialist will be aiding Grillo's Interpol agent to stop a cyber attack in Europe. The original film's Tom O'Connor has cooked up the script for this one, which will take place along the Amalfi Coast.
Patrick Hughes is once again directing and he'll be marshalling the madness this month. As for Grillo, he'll be seen in Point Black with Anthony Mackie on Netflix later this year and is part of the cast for Once Upon A Time In Staten Island, cop drama Black And Blue and Joe Carnahan's new thriller Boss Level, which he's also producing.
