Although the title might make it sound like a fantastical adventure filled with monsters and mayhem, A Conspiracy On Jekyll Island is actually more based in reality. Frank Grillo, Dianna Agron, Minnie Driver, Maggie Q, John Leguizamo and Ed Westwick are all on to star.

Grillo, who you may have spotted briefly in the Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer, plays a former Wall Street type recruited by the Secretary of the Treasury to stop a cyber attack that threatens the American economy (by the time this comes out, that may remind us all of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit). Despite the fact that a strong gust of wind could probably threaten the American econony’s stability right now, he takes the job seriously and, along with his wife, assembles a rag-tag team of misfits (is there any other team of misfits other than a rag-tag one?) and tackles the challenge.

According to our extensive research, the Jekyll Island of the title is home to no scientists inventing a dangerous split personality formula (that we know of) and is no Island Of Doctor Moreau either, but is the location for the meeting between banking leaders and politicians that led to the creation of the Federal Reserve. So that makes sense given the film's themes.

Aram Rappaport is directing the film based on his own script, but there’s no word yet on when it will start shooting.
