They've been on opposite sides of the law in the MCU and Anthony "Falcon" Mackie and Frank "Crossbones" Grillo are still that way in the new Netflix crime thriller Point Blank, though they are forced to team up. Check out the trailer below.
When his pregnant wife (Teyonah Parris) is kidnapped and held as collateral, Paul (Mackie), an ER nurse, must team with the badly injured career criminal and murder suspect (Grillo) under his charge in order to save the lives of his wife and unborn child.
Pitted against rival gangs and a deadly ring of corrupt cops, the unlikely duo find a way to survive together in the fight of their lives. While the tone initially seems gritty, there's the promise of some entertaining mismatched buddy banter between the pair as they battle to do what's right. Well... usually.
Point Blank (surely taking a risk using a title made famous by John Boorman and Lee Marvin) has Joe Lynch in the director's chair and Marcia Gay Harden, Christian Cooke and Boris McGiver also in the cast. It'll hit Netflix on 12 July.
