**Everything Will Be Fine **sounds like a cozy, reassuring film, possibly involving blankets and cups of tea. But no! The film, possibly called Every Thing Will Be Fine if you trust IMDb, has just signed a star, and sounds a little unsettling. James Franco has signed on to lead a 3D drama (the format’s spreading! Run!) for Angels Of Desire director Wim Wenders.

Franco is playing Tomas, a writer who accidentally causes the death of a child. The plot will then follow him through the next 12 years as he examines the effects of the accident on both his life and that of the child’s mother, Kate. Wenders tells Variety that the script, by Bjorn-Olaf Johannessen, is “a story of guilt and forgiveness, and of accepting things you cannot change anymore.”

The busy Franco has found some time in his schedule in between directing, writing, producing and acting in 730 other projects, and Wenders will get the cameras cranking this August in Montreal. But not before arriving at Cannes to drum up support from buyers around the world.

Wenders last made 3D documentary Pina, scoring an Oscar nomination in the process, and is also developing The Miso Soup. Franco will next be seen in This Is The End alongside Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson and Jonah Hill. The apocalypse-com crashes on to our screens on June 28.
